Emerald wants a better future for her siblings. After losing both parents, she quit school to work as an OFW. Away for ten years, she comes back to discover that her youngest sister Jade has become rebellious, and refuses to follow her rules -- Bawal Lumabas, Bawal Mag-barkada, Bawal Mag-boyfriend, and so on. To keep an eye on her, Emerald decides to go back to school and enroll in Jade’s class. Getting her sister back on track proves to be more complicated than she thought as she finds herself struggling with school work and her feelings for her jilted ex-boyfriend Jonjon, who is now her high school teacher.

Things get interesting for Emerald when she meets an old flame in school. Jade begins to hate even more having her sister as her classmate. Emerald does her best in monitoring Jade.
Stand by Me
Emerald makes peace with Cheska and finally wins the hearts of her classmates. However, she receives a grave punishment when she gets wrongfully accused by the school admins. To Emerald's surprise, an unexpected ally comes forward to help.
The Reunion
Jon-jon confesses his lingering feelings for Emerald and offers to help clear her name. But even if the truth comes out, kindness rules Emerald's heart. She tries harder to reach out to Jade, unwittingly reopening old wounds from her sister's past.
All for One
Emerald confronts Gina for maltreating Jade and learns of her family's overdue debt. While her siblings scramble to think of ways on how to raise money, Jade devises a reckless plan. Later, an incident once again separates Emerald from her family.
