Barbaroslar: Sword of the Mediterranean will take viewers on a historic journey across the Ottoman Empire based on the life of 16th-century Ottoman admiral "Barbaros" Hayreddin Pasha and the adventures of four brothers who become seafarers. The drama series retells this adventure through the stories of four brothers; Ishak, Oruc, Hizir, and Ilyas, fighting high tides and the secrets of the seas. It focuses on their pursuit of a holy secret with the help of Master Suleyman, and during the course of their journey, they make enemies in, Pietro; the Pope's hand reaching out to the Mediterranean who is also pursuing the secret and organizes an attack against their ship. But this doesn't stop the brothers and they continue their original quest to find the holy secret all the while fighting their enemies at high tides.
Episodes
Episode 1
The sons of the conqueror of Lesbos; Ishak, Oruç, Hizir, and Ilyas, were separated after the death of their father. Oruc and Ilyas sailed to the seas despite the opposition of their elder brother. Ishak is very happy that his brother is in his hometown, but Hizir also has in mind the great and sacred "secret" that he pursued. However, they are not the only seekers of this sacred secret.
Episode 2
Hizir has to get rid of Pietro's men. He embarks on a very difficult journey with Zeynep, whose life is in danger because of him. He has to deliver the trust he has in him to Master Süleyman. Pietro, who learned the situation, try to find ways to reach both the trust and Hizir. Oruc and Ilyas are very surprised when they learn who is at the head of the trap set for them. They will again find themselves in a conflict.
Episode 3
Ishak, who buried his enemies in the deep and dark waters of the sea; Despite all the insistence of Oruc and Ilyas, he chooses to return to his home. But the effect of the incident he lived in is still on him and a big confrontation awaits him in Lesbos.
Episode 4
Radko, on Pietro's orders, goes after the book that contains great secrets. He raids Ishak's house, following Suleyman in Lesbos. Will Hizir and Ishak, who suddenly find Radko in front of them, be able to get rid of this pressure?
Episode 5
Baba Oruç and Isabel join forces and take action to end the persecution of Unita, an organization that does not let Muslims in.
Episode 6
While Baba Oruç and his crew were saving the persecuted villagers and sailing again, they were attacked by Antuan, who returned to the seas under the name Black Pirate. Will Baba Oruç and the levents be able to survive this attack?

Antuan, Radko, and his men surrounded Baba Oruc and his men who were about to leave Kalymnos. Will Baba Oruc and his men break this hoop? What traps await them as they try to get out of Kalymnos? Will Hizir Reis and Niko, who were trapped by Pietro at the same time, be able to get out of the castle?
Episode 9
Pietro, the commander of Kalymnos, who took action on the orders of the Pope, set out to take Abu Muhammad and the secret book to Rome. Pietro, who set out with a very crowded military navy, came face to face with Baba Oruç and his levents on the island of Kerpe, and the collision was inevitable.

Pietro, who captured Baba Oruç, who seized the gold of Unita and wanted to give the gold to their real owners, with the trap he set over Isabel, will show his cruelty to the end. Isabel will get the same share of this cruelty. How will Sylvio react when he witnesses his daughter being tortured by Pietro?

Oruç was trapped by Pietro, who was after the gold. Despite going through various tortures with Isabel, he did not tell Pietro where the gold was and was saved by his brother İlyas. On the other hand, Pietro, whose future depended on getting these gold back, took the help of Shahbaz and raided the cellar where Oruç hid the gold, but was unsuccessful. Will Oruç be able to learn the true identity of Pietro, who introduces himself as Alfonso? How and by whom will Pietro be saved from the wrath of Oruç?
