Once Upon A Time
'And So It Happened' is a series that deals with the different problems women have been facing in Egypt, especially in the Southern parts, between the years 1918 and 2018, showing the difference in ideas and traditions.
Episodes
Episode 1
Yousef writes a letter to Nadira reminiscing about the beginning of their relationship. When Salma tries to take photographs of the mansion, Yousef stops her.
Episode 2
Yousef is enamoured with Nadira’s singing. Later, Salma records her conversation with Yousef as he tells her that the mansion is at risk of demolition.
Episode 3
Khadija asks Yousef to consider starting a family. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall forces Salma to stay at Yousef’s house.
Episode 4
Yousef fights with Karam and asks him to stay away from the mansion. Bimba asks Khadija to have Nabawi and Hindia’s wedding at the mansion. Johnny is interested in Asdaf.
Episode 5
When Salma tells her parents that she will marry Yousef, her mother begins to worry. Meanwhile, Nadira sneaks out of her room to go to the beach with Yousef, and faces the consequences when Zakaria finds out.
Episode 6
Raya expresses her wish to kill Asdaf while Khadija tries to talk some sense into Nadira. Yousef asks Zakaria to let the latter work with him.
Episode 7
Yousef takes Salma to a poet’s museum. Ahmad tells Yousef that he will take the mansion.
Episode 8
Yousef sneaks out of the party. Farouq promises Yousef that he will support him in the case of the mansion.
Episode 9
Yousef tells Khadija that he wants to marry Nadira, while Zakaria’s neighbour asks for Nadira’s hand in marriage for her son.
Episode 10
Yousef turns away the lawyer that Farouq sent while Asdaf decides to tell the police about Raya and Sakina.
Episode 11
Ahmad, Ali and Asdaf perform a play while Khadija blames Faiqa for not getting pregnant.
Episode 12
Farouq sets the engagement date for Yousef and Salma. A plague spreads across the town and kills many people.
Episode 13
Ihsan fancies Asdaf while Zakaria comes back to town and discovers that Nadira and her daughters are alive. Yousef sends Nadira a gift.
Episode 14
Ahmed goes to Salma and Yousef’s engagement party and threatens Farouq. Ihsan’s wife and her daughters kick Asdaf out of the mansion.
Episode 15
Obeid assaults Zakaria while Wadih marries Asdaf and acquires a theatre. Nadira goes back to her husband’s home and finds a letter from Yousef.
Episode 16
Salma is surprised to find guards surrounding the mansion. Ihsan barges into Asdaf’s home to know whether the child is his and Wadih kicks him out.
Episode 17
Nadira tells her daughters about the mansion. When Yousef returns to the mansion, Khadija tells him that he seems unhappy. Later, Nadira writes a letter to Yousef.
Episode 18
Halawi abuses Nadira while Wadih tries to reconcile with Ali. Yousef decides to write a play for Ali.
Episode 19
After Salma finds out that her father’s lawyer is trying to put the mansion in Yousef’s name, she goes to Alexandria to know more. Ahmed offers to buy the mansion from Yousef.
Episode 20
When Halawi discovers that Yousef is the one who gave Nadira the piano, he assaults the latter. Yousef collapses on the floor.
Episode 21
Asdaf tells Ihsan on his deathbed that Samir is his son and that she will take care of him. Khadija gets emotional when she reads part of Yousef’s letter to Nadira.
Episode 22
Yousef and Salma plan to have their wedding in the mansion while Salma’s mother disapproves of their union. Nadira tells Khadija that she is pregnant with Halawi’s child. Yousef kicks Akram out of the mansion.
Episode 23
Khadija tells Nadira that she will tell everyone that the baby is Yousef’s and that she will name him Yousef II. Nadira asks Khadija to bring Zakaria and his daughters back.
Episode 24
Yousef tells Salma that he is thinking of selling the mansion while Ali proposes to Nadira for the third time. Later, Nadira gets news of her father’s illness.
Episode 25
Asdaf signs a contract for the main role in a movie. Farah suddenly feels ill while Hamed reveals something important in a television interview.
Episode 26
Salma has suspicions about Yousef while the police arrest Samir. Khadija gives Nadira the key to her jewellery box.
Episode 27
Yousef argues with Salma about the redecoration of his room while an order to cease Wadih’s theatre is issued.
Episode 28
Asdaf agrees to marry Ali Baher. Yousef tells Ahmed that he will sell the mansion for 100 million pounds but only after Salma gives birth.
Episode 29
Someone makes an offer to buy the mansion. The unexpected happens when Nadira plays the piano. Salma realizes something important when she reads Nadira’s letters to Yousef. Aho Da Elli Sar
Episode 30
Salma reprimands Yousef while Farouq visits the latter and asks him about his conflict with Salma. Meanwhile, Yousef has new plans for the mansion.
